If you ask me I think we are being nickel and dimed to death. Dominion Virginia Power is seeking yet another rate increase of 6.9%. That 6.9% translates to about $7.45 per customer. According to Dominion the rate increase would help pay for new power plants, substations, power lines and setting up energy conservation programs.

They are aware however that many people are having troubles paying their bills. There solution to that is the EnergyShare fuel-assistance program. Please be aware that there is an income requirement to qualify for assistance.
