Neighborhood Resource Center reaches out to all
People of all ages can take advantage of the resources that Fulton Hill’s Neighborhood Resource Center offers. Activities range from art, ballet and modern dance, to tutoring sessions, computer basics and General Education Diploma classes. Most programs are free and are run by community volunteers.

Mess o’ Greens in Fulton
Do you need some collard greens for your table? Some gentlemen from North Carolina are selling greens from atop their pickup truck at the bottom of Powhatan Hill. Apparently $10 will buy you a HUGE bag of greens. I’ve already unloaded some on our dear postman but I’ve got more to share. Seriously!

Fulton Citizen Journalist
In the computer room at the Powhatan Center everyday people in the Fulton community with the help of some professors from Virginia Commonwealth University became journalist.
There was much excitement during the first brainstroming seesion. Everyone had ideas on what kind of articles could be featured on the community website.
Armchair Life would review movies, tv shows, and current events . It is the brain-child of Mrs. Karen. Mrs. Karen, whoes house on Parker street is currently being remodeled, says she will begin the on-going feature “once my bathroom[renovation] is under control.”
Brandon hopes to highlight some of Richmonds historic sites in and around the neighborhood. “I went to the Capitol Building for the first time this weekend. I’ve been in Richmond for seven years and never visited!” Brandon promises to see more sites and post the pictures online. “Everyone should see these places,” he says.
