Website Administrator Needed!
Seeking part-time web administrator to manage the Greater Fulton area community news website (www.greaterfultonnews.org). The web manager is responsible for monitoring all posts, comments, images, video and sound published to the website, making sure that they adhere to the site’s publishing guidelines. The manager will work with community organizations (including the civic and business associations; nonprofit organizations; local business owners; churches; and other community groups) to regularly develop and publish stories that focus on the Greater Fulton area. The position will require approximately 5 hours per week. Knowledge of basic HTML required; experience with WordPress or other blogging tools and image editing software, such as Photoshop, highly desired. Please inquire at nrc1@comcast.net.

Garbage truck fire on Williamsburg Road
Traffic was rerouted from Williamsburg Rd. at about 1pm this afternoon by emergency services due to a garbage truck fire.

Tree Huggers Unite at Fulton Hill Civic Association
Topics at the December 11 Fulton Hill Civic Association meeting at the NRC included Neighborhood Watch, emergency preparedness training, discouraging the sale of single-serving alcoholic beverages, the campaign for an elementary school in Fulton, and a report on loss of many trees in the city due to short-sighted tree management practices by the Department of Public Utilities.

New Push for Fulton Elementary School
A small group of Fulton residents met with School Board member Keith West and veteran civic activist Art Burton to begin a new surge in the campaign to build a new elementary school in Fulton. Mr. Burton urged the group to step up local participation in the Build Schools Now initiative, including attendance at the School Board meeting this coming Monday, Nov. 5 at 6pm at City Hall, and a public rally planned for Nov. 26th.
