Pit shepherd mix found, taken to shelter
3 Comments »A dog was found yesterday off of Main and Williamsburg:
Scared and hungry pit shepherd mix intact. I took him to the Animal Shelter. He is very sweet and was pretty starved when I found him.I missed a turn and turned down a dead end street off of Main and Williamsburg road to get to Fulton Hill and found him trapped behind a fence in deserted industrial yard. He has a thin white stripe down long shep snout. Very Cute puppy maybe 7 month or so, very sweet, and red/tan/white markings.
When I found he was scared and shaking all ribs poking out, but after coming back once with water and then with food. he ate the food and then I pried the fence a bit to help him escape, though he could have gone a few yard down to get free, but he just couldn’t figure it out. He jumped right in and loved my little dog and me. If you are missing him he is at chamberlayne animal shelter cage #29 id 16735 or you can adopt him.

I hope Richmond is a no kill shelter.
thank you for rescuing the little guy. hope he finds a good home.
I found a dog under similar circumstances about a month ago. I sent his picture, via email, to everyone on my contact list. Within two hours I had found him a home. To my surprise I had seven more people contact me wanting the dog as well. The power of the internrt is incredible and suggest you give it a try.
