What’s that terrible noise?

I was walking my dog early this morning in Montrose Heights and there was a terrible, loud industrial buzzing noise coming from the river, it seemed. I could hear it all over the neighborhood, but particularly Accomac-Fenton-Newman area.

Does anyone know what this noise is, where it is coming from, and how we can get it to stop? I don’t know if it’s still going on this afternoon.

It’s probably coming from off of Government at the train tracks in Fulton ravine. It looks like they are replacing the large pipes because that area is a flood zone.

At 6:30 am? It was not heavy equipment noise–more like a really loud electrical buzz. It did seem to be coming from down there. I did not notice it today. If it keeps up, I’ll follow up on it, as the residents of Woodcroft, Fulton, and Accomac must really find it irritating.

    Hello Juliellen,
I was wondering if you were ever able to find out more about that noise? Please email me when you have a chance! Thanks!

I never found out what the noise was. I have not heard it since, but if I do, I’ll do my best to figure out what it is and get it to stop. I’ll let you know.
