Registration for the 2009 Great Summer Escape has begun at the Powhatan Hill Community Center. The Great Summer Escape is for youth participants ages 6 through 12. The fee for the program is $225.00 for nine weeks. The program begins on Monday, June 22nd and ends on Friday, August 21st; programming begins each day at 7:30am and ends at 5:30pm. This nine week program will incorporate citizenship and leadership, social recreation, environmental education, personal education, health and physical education and cultural enrichment. The program also offers exciting field trips and an opportunity for participants to make new friends and improve social skills (some field trips may cost an additional fee).
