Councilwoman Squire to host meeting in East End 7th District

All East End 7th District citizens are invited and encouraged to attend

WHAT: Richmond City Councilwoman Betty L. Squire, East End 7th District, will host a meeting in the East End 7th District of Richmond. All East End 7th District citizens are invited and encouraged to attend. The meeting will include a topical agenda, updates and information on her goals and accomplishments. Light refreshments will be served. The topic of this meeting will be Public Safety. Special Guests will include:

    BACKGROUND:
    On February 9, 2009, Richmond City Council selected Ms. Betty L. Squire to temporarily fill the position of Councilperson for the East End 7th District, which became vacant following a special election in which the elected holder of that seat (Councilwoman Delores McQuinn) was elected as 70th District Delegate to the Virginia General Assembly and resigned her Council position, as she was not legally able to hold both. Ms. Squire will hold the temporary appointed position until replaced by a person elected to fill the remaining term in general election held on November 10, 2009.
