A high-speed chase that reached speeds of more than 100 mph began in Richmond’s East End before ending in Henrico County this morning with the arrests of two people.
The chase began shortly after 10 a.m. when Richmond police tried to pull over a vehicle along Williamsburg Road for a drug offense. The vehicle, with four people inside, traveled at a high rate of speed into Henrico, where police from the county assisted in the pursuit.
The pursuit went past the new White Oak Village shopping center along Laburnum Avenue, and at one stage, Richmond officers said the vehicle being pursued accelerated to a speed in excess of 100 mph.
Two of the passengers jumped out at an intersection before the pursuit ended on Osborne Turnpike at Tree Ridge Road with the arrest of the driver and one of the passengers.
There was no immediate word on charges.

This chase crossed my path 4 times. That 100+ mph part was certainly correct.
