It was amazing to be out in the rain with SOOOOO many neighbors waiting to vote!

Thanks to Vivian for giving a ride home from he polls and thanks to all of the poll workers who kept the line moving at Powhatan Rec Center.

I was amazed as well. I have to admit, I got a little emotional. It was a sight to see so many people getting out and voting in this weather. Especially the elderly.
Obama was not my candidate just because he is black. For all the sacrifice those before us made so that we could not only have a strong voice in the democratic party, but an african american as well. Thank You!!! It’s the “chocolate” icing on the cake. I am so proud to be an american.

I am still registered at my old address in Church Hill to vote. I got there around 8 and waited till almost 10AM to vote. There were so many people and so many who kept talking about change and needing something different.

I witnessed a woman who was about to go vote let an elderly woman who was behind me in front of her so she could vote and not have to wait for hours. It was nice to see such a kind act on a day when people are excited but certainly tired and hungry from standing in line.

I have to agree. I heard two people complain, but you could tell they were not going anywhere until they voted. It took an hour and forty five minutes for me to get through the line and vote. It would have taken longer, but the line for A-G didn’t have anyone waiting. So I probably shaved about 30 or more minutes off my wait time. It feels great to be part of history.

I want to repeat Kimmy’s thank you to the poll workers. I still can’t believe the sight of that line before the polls opened.
