Attention All Fashionistas & Handbag Addicts!

On October 16, 2008, LINC will host the third “It’s in the Bag”—a silent and live auction featuring over 150 casual and evening handbags designed by creative, artistic and philanthropic individuals. Join us for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres and bid on hot bags some designed by Richmond celebrities Lisa Schaffner, Faye Prichard, Susan Youngs, Frankie Slaughter, Carolyn Cios, Susie Galvez and Mollee Sullivan. Handbags designed by Honorary Directors Sarah Jessica Parker and Adriana Trigiani also will be featured.

This year, haute handbags from celebrity designers such as Darby Scott, Kooba, Carlos Falchi, Anthony Luciano, Leigh-Ann Kline, Hayden Hartnett, Vera Bradley and Timmy Woods’ Eiffel Tower bag from “Sex and the City,” many others will also be available for purchase.

General Admission tickets are $25. Premium admission is $60 and allows guests to enjoy a Private preview party, early bidding, and a complimentary wine bar. Both prices include complimentary parking. For more information, to view handbag photos or to purchase tickets, please visit www.cancerlinc.org or call 378-7558.

All proceeds benefit LINC, an organization dedicated to helping cancer patients and their families deal with the financial and legal problems that arise from the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. LINC is most important when one does not have the strength to take on one more challenge –the cancer alone takes every bit of energy. A client wrote, “My time became more valuable to me than the amount of trouble fighting the insurance company . . . I could not find help on my own. [LINC’s] services were invaluable.”
