Traffic was rerouted from Williamsburg Rd. at about 1pm this afternoon by emergency services due to a garbage truck fire.

Traffic was still blocked as of about 3pm. The Richmond Times-Dispatch reports that firefighters arrived within minutes and there were no injuries.  A large column of smoke could be seen at about 1:30 pm, and there was an odor similar to burning tires.  I wonder if the truck was headed toward the Henrico County landfill.
