Old House Authority offers restoration information

The RTD’s New venture can help with restoration profiles the Old House Authority, a new venture of Jennie Dotts, Walter Dotts, and Dixon Kerr that offers services and information on restoration experts and old-house renovation, and “sells products such as invisible storm windows that are historically accurate, aesthetically pleasing and energy efficient”. The Old House Authority also offers assistance to artisans and craftsmen.

CARE Program Helps Small Business Owners

The Commercial Area Revitalization Effort (CARE) Program is designed to return viability to older neighborhood commercial districts. The program operates through a partnership between local neighborhood merchants, residents and the City of Richmond. The program offers rebates and other incentives to help small business owners rehabilitate commercial exteriors and interiors, security improvements and more. It also offers a loan program for building rehabilitation and renovation of commercial space. Learn more
