Re what parents say about treatment: I've heard numerous accounts of parents being mistreated in the RPS and also teachers. Teachers are leaving RPS often for county schools. More adults need to volunteer to work with students and teachers, especially in schools where parents are unable to participate because of work. Mary Munford and Fox function well because enough families can afford to have a stay at home parent volunteer in the schools. RPS should hire teaching assistants. Human help far surpasses the computer.

re new schools being built: Please do not close Bellevue. It is a high performing school with lots of potential. I would hate to see such a historical landmark of a school become condos. Neighbors, please invest your time and money into Bellevue. If it must close, let it close as an elementary school to become a great middle school.

Building new schools does not automatically mean or guarantee a higher quality of education.
