If this site were live and I’d never linked to her before, I might’ve emailed the blog author to see if it were ok to give a mention like this. Some folks don’t want their blogs being widely disseminated, though almost everybody that I’ve ever approached for chpn has been fine with it.
Why John, I think that’s her new puppy, Chief! :) Do you know Allyson?!
that’s funny, I didn’t connect Maye Rain to Allyson… We used to work together, back in 1996, at Video Fan. Now I know that she has a beautiful house and a really weird dog little dog :)
alright,
This creature also visits our yard and after a summer of observation, Chris and I think this was a excommunicated groundhog. This spring it emerged with saggy gray hairless skin and was as tiny as a squirrel. We started calling it the bald squirrel.
However, the critter has gotten fat and regained fur and we have seen it coming in and out of the groundhog burrow now. We suspect he/she isn’t sick anymore and has been allowed back home.
Our neighbor, Allyson, has a better camera than we do:) Take a look of the wild turkey pic on her blog. Also another visitor to our urban forest backyards!
Hey Johnny M,
Nice to see you are on the Fulton Hill scene. Like Kimmy says, we’ve got everything here: this mysterious creature, a little family of wild turkey and a pack of heck-raising racoons. I’ll try and get a picture for you!
All we have is a damned opossum and a few prostitutes, I’m jealous!
